BRE was chosen in particular as they are forefronting the drive by the British government to come up with solutions to the affordable housing crisis within the UK. Testing in Canada
Abersham has completed a Testing and Certification program with the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg Canada. The results from the Structural testing as well as a 2 year real time cycling of a test house at the University produced the required certification to build in Manitoba Canada. A similar process is planned in Alicante Spain, which also has regional authority over building code compliance.
Final test results from the University of Manitoba are being evaluated by the CCMC Canadian Construction Materials Centre, the governing authority in Canada. Approval by the CCMC is recognized throughout Canada by all regional authorities. Canadian certification and test results from the certified University laboratories are highly regarded in North America and Europe and will quickly achieve reciprocal approvals in the US, Spain and Europe.
Furthermore, the CCMC is recognized and accepted by the ICBO, International Conference of Building Officials which has global acceptance in certifying new materials and alternative building systems. The certification process will be greatly expedited as the market is expanded into new countries.
Completing ICBO certification in the USA
Working with the University of Maine, an ICC recognized test facility, Abersham intends to complete very soon the required ICBO certification. This certification is a major step and a very important accomplishment for our product.
